Reconditioning Your Stove        

Your classic stove can sparkle!

Our reconditioning process increases the energy efficiency of your stove by increasing the insulation layer as well as removing grease and sediments within tubing and burners.

Stoves: Wedgewood, O'Keefe & Merritt, Magic Chef, Wolf, US Range, Viking, Occidental, Chambers and other classic gas stoves

Stove reconditioning:

• Disassemble to frame. Steam clean range body.
  Clean loose parts in a caustic soda solution.
  Clean, wire brush, and lubricate valves, then re-pack with valve grease. Clean and/or replace tubing.
  Repair stove as needed: checking thermostats, safeties, thermocouples. (Replacement parts extra)
  Replace and adjust door springs if needed. Rewire for clocks and incandescant/flourescent lights.
  Remove rust and repaint non-porcelain surfaces.
  Reassemble stove.

Replace insulation with double layer. Replace light bulbs.
Adjust pilot lights and burners for optimum functioning.
Touch-up and detail work. Check for gas leaks. Oven

recalibratiion. Stove inspection.

Extras:

• Reglaze porcelain spider grates and burner heads.
• Rechrome griddles, stovetops, trim pieces, and handles.
• Replace window glass.
• Repair clocks and timers.
• Pickup and delivery by experienced movers.

Customizing your stove:

• Reglaze porcelain panels to new color.
• Add window doors, change porcelain to chrome.
• Add red or black knobs/handles.

To book your stove:

When you're ready,

1. Call our office at 510-420-8096 to get an estimate and be put on our schedule.

2. Bring your stove to the shop. We provide loaners, pickup, and delivery services.

3. We require a 50% deposit at the time your stove enters the shop. Pricing depends on stove size/restoration.

4. When the work is complete, we'll notify you and arrange for you to come and inspect the work done. Your satisfaction is our goal.

5. Following inspection, you pay the balance due and arrange for delivery.
